Does this mean they are scared to face us? or are we over confident?

    Probably just means he's writing a column for their equivalent of The Sun and he's giving them some "sensational " comments in return for a big fat wedge of cash. They will be wishing we'd topped our grab, as are we. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the last 16 pans out though - could still avoid Spain being in our part of the draw, although its hard to see us beating Argentina at Q/F stage on the form we have shown so far.

    The newspaper Bild is the German equivalent of our red tops, so to be expected.

    I was reading his comments in full earlier and think he's being reported slightly out of context to make him/Germany appear arrogantly confrontational, and that actually he's partly disappointed that England always under-perform due to the Premiership having a longer season than the Budesliga and more domestic cup competitions to further depleat form.
