any suggestions for a new wheelset for 8 speed specialized tricross?

    You should be able to use anything except one of the early Shimano 10 speed wheels with an alloy cassette body. All other Shimano and compatible 8/9/10 speed hubs should work fine with an 8 speed cassette. Otherwise, more info is needed: i.e., what will you be using the bike for, what size tyres will you be using, your budget, etc.

    cheers,budget is whatevers needed but use is for mainly road use but living about two miles down an unmade farm track im not sure what would be needed. size is 700x23.
