Repairing tyres?

I've been using Michelin pro race 3 for less than 3 months. After this evenings ride I noticed a half centimetre cut on the back tyre. I believe this can be patched using super glue, is this true and any any tips?
Then am I better switching this tyre to the front wheel ? (less weight on it there). Bit disappointed really as my previous set of tyres were a pair of Vittoria tyres which I had for 3 years.

if you know a tyre has damage, don't put it on the front! - the rear tyre failing is less likely to cause a nasty accident than the front

if the tyre is bulging at the cut, then i'd bin it - you could put a tyre boot in but that's really more of a short term measure

putting a drop of super glue in the cut and leaving it to set (deflated) won't hurt, but if the tyre was bulging i wouldn't bother, tyres get exposed to mechanical shock, water and heat, the bond could degrade rapidly

if you do glue it, make sure none ends up on the inside causing hard sharp edges that could abrade the inner tube
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

Cheers for replies, LBS not an option here, but am back in the uk in about 3 weeks (can't wait) so I will stock up then. Just had another look, there doesnt seem to be any bulge so I will try the superglue fix to keep me going, and will leave it on the back wheel (makes sense)
