Crackin' tyres (Grommit)

Please put my mind at rest folks and say that a crack in the rubber around the circumference of the tyres where the tread meets the sidewall is nothing unusual.

I have conti 4000s on at the mo (done about 700miles) and noticed this on both front and rear.
I always use a pressure gauge when pumping them up so I don't think I have overpressurised them.

I also have Evo Corsas that don't have this issue but with them the tread seems to sit kind of on top of the tyre body rather than being part of it as with the Contis.

    Vittoria Rubino Pro's 8) >>>>> GP4000

Allthough, I have some Vittoria tyres on my commuter (Topazio pro or something), very old, and they have the same thing, they're fine tho.

Conti's do crack but I only worry about it if I start finding loose threads coming out (or the inner tube, I tend to replace then as well... ).
