What are sealed bearing hubs?

Hi there, i'm new to MTB and i'm trying to up my basic knowledge in order to do minor repairs in the future. I was wondering what sealed bearing hubs are? and what other type of hubs there are?

    Just about every MTB hub has sealed bearings.

    there are different types of bearings.,

    Cone and Cup and the cartridge bearing.
