Hi,
I'm about to buy a new hardtail MTB for the girlfriend. Will be going for a 'mens' frame as she's tall (5ft10) and they seem to fit her best from the few she's sat on...
We've been looking at the Giant Revel 3, but haven't seen or heard much opinion on it. Haven't found any reviews anywhere.
Can anyone comment on whether this is a good spec bike for the money (about £250):
Frame: AluxX aluminium
Fork: Suntour M2025 63mm
Stem: Giant aluminium ahead
Speed: 21
Front Mech: Shimano TX 50
Rear Mech: Shimano TX 51
Chainset: SR Suntour 22/32/42
Bottom Bracket: Cartridge
Cassette: Shimano TZ21 14-28 freewheel
Chain: KMC Z51
Front Brake: Tektro linear pull
Rear Brake: Tektro linear pull
Rims: Giant CH17, SW aluminium
Front Hub: Joy Tech
Rear Hub: Joy Tech
Tyres: Kenda 26x2.0 Front Kenda 26x2.0 Rear
The other option is a trip up to London to try the Decathlon Rockrider 5.2. Or a trip to the local Halfords for a Carerra Vulcan.
Will be used for trail, and some off-road/mountain biking. Can't imagine her doing any jumps etc (not on purpose anyway)...
Please advise... ;o)
Cheers guys!

The Vulcan and Rockrider are far better buys. The Giant is pretty gash to be honest, pretty nasty drivetrain with freewheel is not a good start, very lowly fork and STEEL handlebar.0
