Fitted a new pair of Dura Ace 7900 Shifters and have an annoying rattle from the right hand levers, have checked all cables and cable ends are taped into place. Has anyone else experienced this and managed to resolve it? Many Thanks.

Nor sure what you mean by cable ends taped into place?

A common source of STI's rattling is insufficient tension on the brake cable but it generally affects the rear brake lever and not the front onebecause of the additional length of cable involved. If the cable tension is adequate and the blocks within a couple of mm from the wheel rim I don't know what else is causing it.

Sorry, not very clear was I. Where the outer cable locates into the grooves on the lever body has a couple of turns of electrical tape to prevent any movement or rattle of the outer cable.

Check this out, I wrote it recently after being bugged by the same problem.

Apparently there was a recall notice on some of the left shifters for a similar problem, so maybe they've issued one for the right shifter as well.
