Canondale Rize 5 or Giant Reign 2

After getting talked out of buying a steel hardtail I have started looking at full suspension all mountain bikes. The Rize 5 and Reign 2 both look pretty good and are almost within budget (£1500 ish) Are these both pretty good? I want a bike to do a bit of everything, also I'm quite large (15.5 stone but getting smaller) so need a fairly tough bike. Would either of these suit what I want or is there something else I should look at?
