Where to buy 282mm black spoke and nipple for aero wheel?

Hi guys i bought a set of Reynolds Alta race wheels today off here. One of the spokes is broke, the previous owner removed the spoke and nipple so i cant see what the nipple looked like. I can only see the top of the nipple when i look down the inside of the rim.

So, where can i buy a 282mm black non aero spoke and the special nipple? And do i need a special tool to fit it?

Give someone like Paul Hewitt Cycles a call for spokes e.g. DT Aero - they never answer e-mails! Nipple tool depends on shape and how it fits in the rim - some are hex and some are square.

Try Planet X. They supplied me with spare spokes for my Alta Races.

You need a special spoke key or a Nut Spinner (5mm from memory) for the nipple.

Depends on how wheels are constructed i.e. blind nipples and whether they are inverted, plus whether the nipples are hex-headed or . Remove the tyre/rim tape and take a peek inside the rim - I have three different spoke keys for deep rims, they are not universal.
