i bust the rear gears and it was scram x 7 i put shimano deore on as its 9 speed it wont shift right, rang a shop and as i thought "bring it in so we can rob you silly sir" the new deore has a adjuster on back and the scram dint so got lots of cable adjments just cant get the bloody thing to work, hope someone on here can save me a pritty penny

Deore rear derailleur isn't compatible with the SRAM shifters. I'm afraid you'll need to change one or the other.

if you had a Sram rear mech you need a sram rear mech.

sram and shimano rear mechs are not interchangeable.

but as you have bought a deore mech you may as well buy a Shimano shifter.
