You need to tighten up the 1mm screw underneath the grommet type o-ring. You can see it easier if you rub the top shift lever twelve times and say 'Suntour make the best mountain bike groupset.
ps this doesn't work if you're referring to Shimano or Sram. btw which shifters are you expecting us to use our psychic powers and guess you have?I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

On Sora shifters there's a small groove running down the outside of the shifter. If you peel open the hood from the front you can see a 5mm (might be 6mm, can't remember off the top of my head) Allen Key bolt. Push your Allen Key down inside the groove and tighten the bolt.FTT
