wobbly rear cassette

was cleaning bike after ride and noticed that when i turned the pedals and then affectively the bike freewheeled that the rear cassette wobbbled. have alsoremoved and replaced rear wheel which is when i noticed it. is this dangerous or a problem?can i still ride? any thoughts grateful

I think you need to take the wheel out again and check if the cassette lock ring is tight

Even when tight they can do this - some form of precession of the axle. Nothing to worry about.0

thanks, when i remove the rear wheel the cassette comes with it and replacing rear
derailleur is difficult so possibly i ve disturbed it is it still ok to ride do you think?0 -
You need to check if it is tight. If not then then you need to tighten it, or maybe add a spacer depending on the model.
But as above, when tight it can appear to wobble.0 -
They can wobble on cheaper hubs too as the body doesn't line up completely accurately, and stuff inside the hub not being totally round, but it isnt an issue0
