Noisy Chain

I swapped the chain over on my Fixed Gear, from the standard to a new one as I had put a new chain ring and sprocket which meant the chain was a little short, ran silent on the old chain. new chain is bloody noisy usually I can hear nothing from my drive train, last few commutes its been clanking and creaking. the chains reasonably tight got a bit of give and no tight links (I went through the entire chain checking).
Is it possible that the chains stretched already.... I am running 50/14 and do about 3 miles each way daily (minimum). Chains been on for about a week - should add the noises started on the second ride.

Good point!! I was assuming the chainring, sprocket and chain were all compatible singlespeed stuff.
I have concluded that the sticky stuff you find on the chain when you take it out of the packet is mainly intended to stop it from going rusty. You may find that a few drops of oil make it a lot quieter.0 -
Spec is 1/8" Miche Advanced 50t chain ring, 1/8" Shimano Dura-ace 14t and a 1/8th Charge Masher chain (which I honestly think is SHITE).
I was going to strip and Oil tonight but got in at gone 8 and the Chain Lubes gone walkies, which I am not happy about.
50/14 aint that bad really, I have spun out on 50/15 and can still accelerate pretty fast. (27" thigh's help :P )
Tapping the chain causes it to rattle... so I am going to double check all the links on the weekend and make sure that they are all tight and nothings loose.FCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips
