im 19 and Im relativly new to cycling and am looking at getting into triathlons.
I swim for GB so thats not an issue, I was a long distance runner at school. So its only my cycling thats the worry.
At the moment i do 10km in 20 mins and 10miles in 31mins.
Can any one give me some good training advice to help me improve my cycling leg.
Also is it worth getting a turbo trainer to do spin sessions at home?
Please help

Spin sessions are ok if you are stuck for time etc, but as you will know from swimming and running, its all about the time you put into it to get a lot back out.
Try and get some distance rides in and dont just go out and blast 10 k every time. Try to keep your cadence (pedal speed) fairly high too.
There is no short cut but its down to time in the saddle. Good luckAnother tree...another cracked rib!!0 -
Doing 'threshold sessions' should be the bread and butter of a triathlete.
Look up 2x20 on google (although I tend to do 4 x 10...)
A Turbo is perfect for these as you can really keep the effort constant.0 -
