arrgh - Fox forks had a funny on my ride tonight

Did a big ride tonight (training for mountain mayhem) and on the last descent, which is pretty rocky and includes some steps at the very bottom my forks stopped rebounding at the correct rate.

2008 Fox RL 120's

They suddenly started rebounding really slowly and would not compress again until fully rebounded. Fork felt like it had massivly heavy weight oil in it all of a sudden. I tried to move the rebound adjuster but it seemed locked in place so decided carried on down road to home. Got home and after a few minutes managed to move rebound adjuster and fork seemed to start compressing and rebounding correctly.

Bit worried with only 3 weeks until the event (and a lot of training required :oops: ).

Any advice greatfully received.

    when was it last serviced?

    I did the seal service 3 weeks ago. Been running fine since. It's not had a full service since I had the bike last Oct
