Where you can buy these:

I'm trying to find a shop that sells them so I can get them fitted properly.

I know but I think they'll be worth it.
I've had knee problems for years when running until I found out about the whole bare foot movement. Now I've changed my running style completely and use light weight trainers, run on my toes/balls off my feet and hey presto - no knee pain.
This is just the next step forward.+ 1001 posts reset by the cruel cruel moderators!

They look like they might not actually fit most people's feet. I know my toes are nowhere near that long in relation to the rest of my foot.
EDIT: oh, and by the way, you can buy them from that site you linked.0 -
Hence the need to try before I buy. Otherwise I would just find the cheapest place on the net and hope for the best.+ 1001 posts reset by the cruel cruel moderators!

Ah, gotcha. Good idea. Do you have a "Cotswolds" store near you? Their shop seems to have by far the largest selection of footwear round here. That would be my first port of call.0

Hmm, can't find any mention of them at all on Vibram's site.
Ah, they have their own website, but alas, no retailers in the UK, either that or their search function is broken.0 -
There supposed to be the up and coming thing but they're a nightmare to find a high street stockist.+ 1001 posts reset by the cruel cruel moderators!

I'm intrigued, and definitely fancy checking some out first hand (or foot!).0

i have some and theyre brilliant (once you get used to getting your feet into them and how they feel - very thin soles so its just like walking barefoot but less uncomfortable)
(FWIW i have the blue KSOs - http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/produc ... _KSO_m.cfm )
you will also definitely get a reaction from most people who spot you wearing them - most are 'WTF ?!?' but i get quite a few 'cool shoes !' too (i took them as beach / casual shoes on a recent school trip to barcelona and my students loved them)
sizewise - ive had mine (bought online) 18 months or so and cant actually remember where i ordered them from but i followed the sizing guide i found on the vibram site (theres a link to it from the KSO page above) - i measured my foot and matched it to the chart and i got a pretty good fit - my second toe is long and that just touches the end of the toe pocket as suggested on the site (for reference my UK shoe size is a smallish 9 and my KSOs are 41)

Mate of mine has a pair, he loves them. So far I've managed to resist the urge to stamp on his feet, but it's only a matter of time.Uncompromising extremist0

Cheers Icarus, not seen them before
However, it says:
"SUITABLE FOR: Light Trekking"
So what level off off-road running could you do in them? What We Achieve In Life, Echoes In Eternity0 -
I'm not too sure, i'll let you know once i've had a couple of runs in them. This might help
