Does anyone know about Manitou forks?

when my wife gets her new bike I am going to turn her current Giant Xtc 4.5 in to a light weight race bike, the first thing I want to get is some new forks and have seen these........

I only want to spend up to £300 and have get them from CRC as ordering same time as new bike.

any other suggestions welcome !

    Manitou have been around for years but for some reason they don't get the recognition of Fox and Rockshox...this is apparent when looking at bikes..how many brands use them...they are perfectly capable...saying that I would go for the Reba SL with poplock again from CRC for £249 (cut stearer though)....Black Box motion control..blow off and fllodgate...plus light so great for your build.

    thanks mate not seen the rebas on there, will have to find out how much is cut off the steerer tube. :)

    I had several Manitou forks years ago, and had nothing but hate for them. They were dreadful.
    Unfortunately, I think a lot of people suffered the same thing, so in a lot of people's eyes, they can do NO good.
    Now it's years later, and I think the same stigma is still attatched to them.
