Oh I am not sure about that pink bike still being ridden, unless something like his other bike is unavailable.

Cunego and Voeckler dropped which isn't good news for the guys in front who now only have about a 1.45 after Liquigas put the hammer down and took their group to about 30 riders. Lloyd claiming both summits so far. He was 2nd after y'day to Basso but now is 9points ahead.

Apparently Cunego might be heading to Garmin or Cervelo next year.

Footoon still have done nothing whatsoever. Never should have been included.

33 abandons in the race so far. A little on the lower end I think. Been surprised there have been so few crashes.

Only Cofidis, Katusha and Liquigas have all riders left.

Mucky weather at Tonale. It's all about the Gavia descent and the final climb.
This is more like a Tour high mountain stage.
    Lightweight. :P

Thanks avoidingmyphd for the link. I also voted for Arroyo; it was something exceptional. In a way it reminded me of Cancelarrara's effort to catch the break in the olympic road race in Beijing.

It always was Handball, Champions League semi-final I think. How long does a game of Handball take? :(

Rai feed is breaking up a lot. I don't know what we'll get of the Gavia.
Still 61km to go, so a 5pm finish for tv.

Pouring rain near the finish. Arroyo may try and make some time on the descent.

I'd love Arroyo to take back the rosa today. He so deserves it, maybe that's why he's still riding his pink bike.........eh frenchy?

I don't understand why people think that given he made one great descent he deserves the overall......

  • This is the second time this year that International have gone to Handball over cycling with no warning from the schedule on the eurosport.com site.

2 other German channels are showing a different Handball game. Boo to Handball.

Given the way Basso's constantly dropped him, he could be making time up. It'd be quite a finish if there's very little between them going into it. Even having Nibali to pace him down doesn't do any good.

Not Italian though, is he. Same reason that only today does the Giro make the front page of La Gazzetta.
