Replacement wheels

I'm currently running a Specialized Tricross bike that has a dying rear wheel. It's part of a cheap 700c Alex Rim wheelset with Specialized's own make hubs and the rear bearing is now well on the way out. In addition to this I've managed to dangerously wear down the rim with braking. I therefore need some advice on where/what wheelset to buy to replace the ones I have.

My budget is only a couple of hundred. The wheel size I'm after is 622 x 17c with 32 spokes and I have 37c tyres to go on them.

I was interested in Shimano's wheels some of which fall within my budget but they all seem to be 15c which is a little too slim really because I use the bike off road as well as on.

Any suggestions out there?
