Hi all,
Been lurking here a long time, but wanted some advice from some pro's.
Last summer I injured my knee pretty badly. Only recently started getting some physio so need to build it back up.
Don't want to wate £60+/month on a gym which I can't stand going to, so thought some easy bike riding would be best.
I'm a complete novice, not ridden a bike for years now!
I've taken the plunge on this one... Norco Plateau 2009 Hybrid Bike

Well it'll be a good solid bike to see if you like cycling and wont have cost you the earth if you find it not to your liking.
it will be a heavy one but it will get you from A to B. I would avoid hilly areas to begin with and slowly build up the distances. You may also want to consider how confident you will feel on the road in traffic after such a long layoff and perhaps ride some routes round parks, towpaths or similar.

Such a relief!
Was expecting some bashing about how it's a cheap bike!
I don't expect to be riding it for long distances at all. Just some casual weekend/evening riding around the local park to get some strength back in my knee. Also for general fitness to get out of the house!
Thanks very much, stokepa31.0 -
well im sure you can expect some mickey taking from some but it will do what you need it for and you can always buy some bling when the knee improvesBurning Fat Not Rubber
