Tight nipples

Oor err missus,no not those nipples.I have a pair of 650c wheels which need truing.The problem being that the nipples have seized on the spokes&i'm reluctant to force them to hard as it might be difficult to get hold of replacements if any of the spokes ping.Does anyone have any suggestions as to which type of lubricant would best loosen up the nipples.Thanks.

    Run some light oil down the spoke into the nipple and leave it to soak - get a good quality spoke key too.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    when theyre tight take the tyre and tape off and use a screwdriver simultaneously with a spoke wrench. turning from both sides gives much more grip and wont make your nipples sore.
