Shutt VR Club Jersey Review

Everybody keeps on talking about Shutt VR so I thought I would give their clothing a go. I don't need any Bib shorts at mo so instead went for one of their jerseys. Ordered on Thursday recieved on Friday-Very quick service. In the rear pocket was a free Mule Bar sample which went down very nicely this morning.
First impressions were of a high quality garment that looks a bit different from what everyone else is doing. I find generally that the material that goes into a typical £50 jersey doesn't look much different to one that would cost you £6.99 at Aldi. This on the other hand does. Don't be put off by the fact that it is made from sportswool (a mixture of merino wool and polyester). You would never know.
The fit is very nice, fitted without being too tight. The length of the medium for me was just about right, though I am only 5' 7. If you are taller you may need a larger size. Initially I felt that the pockets were a little bit high but once out riding they were easy to access.
As for the garment in action, I am very pleased. When I first went out it was still a bit misty and cold but it felt like it kept me warm. As the temp rose I didn't feel like I was overheating like I normally do, it wicked away sweat quickly and kept me cool. In fact normally when I get back from a ride I hate sitting down to take of my shoes because my jersey is soaking wet. This on the other hand felt almost dry to the touch.
I would therefore highly recommend this top to any who may have been thinking about getting one. I don't know if the offer is still on but using the promo code club25 meant that including postage the top was £52.70, about the same price as most replica gear but looks just a bit classier.

and its harder to manufacture than 100% merino and in some cases more expensive a metre. The merino is 'woven' into the fabric only on its inner face and not blended in at random as I used to think.
Nice review too, thanks ;-) PetePeter Bragg

I have the Shutt VR Sportive Jersey, it's also very good and I'm thinking of buying another one of their jerseys. I know what you mean about the pockets, they can feel a bit awkward sometimes, especially the middle one that has a velcro tab on it."Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein0

We place pockets at 10mm higher than standard height too low and they sag down over the saddle which is a criticism leveled at other manufacturers.
Always open to feedback btw and can also do one offs.

Yes the position of the pockets when you're on the bike is fine even with something fairly heavy in them like a multi-tool and other bits and pieces.
Its good to hear that the middle pocket fastening has been changed to a zip, should be easier to use and more secure."Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein0
