As above I am trying to fit it into my new Rockshox pike fork but I have tryed everything and it will just no go in !! :evil: so I looked on hope's website , still no joy, I phoned my LBS again still no joy as he said he hates them and just not to bother ! get a star nut instead so what do you guys think ? Any advise wold be grate as i want to get it up and running very soon

I believe it is the black seal around it ? could i just take it off ??

make sure the steerer has a nice chamfer on the inside and then put a but of rubber grease on the O ring and tap the hed doc in.

Ok thanks I will have a go if that does not work is it a job for the LBS ??

I couldnt get mine in with the rubber seal either, just take the seal off and pop it in without it, works fine. Tighten it up a bit before inserting it in so i doesnet fall right down.

did seem to fit in my revs either... just use a star nut!

same here, didnt fit my revs with the rubber o ring so binned it, fits fine afterwards.

just make sure you tighten the allen bolt to expand it a bit 1st so its a snugg fit otherwise it will drop down the steerer.

So I kept trying and still no luck , I just dropped her at the LBS to be taken care of, So lets hope at least he can work his magic

I am guessing he did TBH as he said "was no problem m8" so I am off 2 pick her up at 3

It just took a tap with a hammer to get it into my toras, comes out with no problems either, just a socket and a piece of dowel and the everpresent hammer

I love these things, both more complicated and less effective than a SFN, as well as more expensive. Go Hope!

Ha well yes he did fit it, and did a very good clean job of it to over all its been a pretty good day, so smiles all round
