8,9,10s shim freewheel on my fulcrum R1s but the lock ring i have doesnt fit the 11t and the right one is pretty dear. so does anybody know the diameter for the ricg needed and whether these token ones would be ok?

i had no idea fulcrum did this? only noticed today as i dont use my ribble much but whilst making sure it was set up correctly earlier i noticed i cant use my 11t gear and this is why. just wish i hadnt fucked up the cable tension i had before i found the problem as it was spot on :(

any shimano 11T compatible lock-ring will do.

Depends on freehub body material in a lot of cases - alloy bodies generally take a smaller thread.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

yes but the OP says it fits
as i dont use my ribble much but whilst making sure it was set up correctly earlier i noticed i cant use my 11t gear and this is why.
which to me says that it is not a 11T lockring but one off a different cassette with a bigger bottom cog.

thats right, it is the fulcrum own one supplied with the wheels from new and is designed for a 12t final cog.

so it basically covers the majority of the surface area of the cog and the chain cannot engage correcly and just jumps up instead as if the cable tuning was wrong

fulcrum supply the 11t one separately at a cost which i've found 15quid to be the cheapest  so gotta be an alternative surely. just havent got around to check the diameter or thread size yet. got a feeling the token one i linked too may be the right size though

I've got Fulcrum Wheels with both the Shimano Freehub and the Campy Freehub; and 11T and 12T sprockets.
The appropriate Token Lockrings worked just fine.
One of these must be right!:

Otherwise, contact Jim Walker. I called them about a Fulcrum wheel issue, and they were very helpful

CRC actually pointed me to their fulcrum spares section and they sell the actual fulcrum part...however its 14.99 and currently out of stock

the shimano 11t is what I ordered and it was exactly the same as the one that came with my 10sp cassette which have a too large diameter for the racing 1 freehub

    Hi Acidstrato,
I got home from work a bit early today, and decided to dig out my Fulcrum freehub bodies to work out what might be going on.
I've got three: two Shimano compatible ones and one Campy compatible.
One of the Shimano bodies came with the wheels. It seems to be the limited production model for when Shimano had their 'high spline compatible' cassettes.
The second freehub body I bought 2008/2009.
Weirdly, I found the former freehub body uses a Campy lockring (smaller threaded diameter), and the latter a Shimano lockring (larger threaded diameter) - even though they were both designed for Shimano cassettes.
I don't know how old your wheels are, but it might be that, oddly, you need a Campy compatible lockring (despite the freehub body being designed to take a Shimano cassette).
    Hope this helps.

mine are the 2009 model and I'm getting the feeling I've got the 10sp only style one for the 'high spline compatible' cassettes as you put it. so I guess a campy lockring

just for curioosity purposes as well i measured the 2 different sizes I have, he ultegra lockring is 35mm outer and 28or29mm inner diameter where as the fulcrum one has a 26mm inner but a 38mm outer which is why i cant ride on the 11t

ahwell got there in the end, thank you all for your assistance, hopefully anyone else that finds this weird issue in the future will come across this thread
