Riding Gloves - Suggestions?

Hi
Could anyone suggest a good make of cycling gloves? I am suffering from a few blisters so they are mainly for comfort. Not too bothered by price.
Thanks

 Have a look at aldi , £3-4 for a pair (I always was a cheapo.) the snobs may poo poo this but cycling has been plagued by gear snobbery for at least 50 yrs.to my certain knowledge. Crane (aldi) kit is okay remember it doesn't matter what the nationality is of the finger that presses the button, if the machine is set correctly the end result is the same. Enough said!0

Nothing wrong with Aldi kit, but IME it simply doesn't fit as well as more expensive stuff. I tried some of their mitts on, but the medium was way too small and the large was way too big.More problems but still living....0

I got some Specialized mitts online in an Evans sale a couple of years ago. Luckily they fit very well and the gel padding is excellent. Also have Altura winter gloves and find them pretty good too.0

I use Pearl Izumi gel mitts like these;

They are quite comfy but have nothing to soak snot up so look disgusting after about 5 miles, but then i might snot a lot, i'm not sure. I'd recommend finding some with a towel type part to soak up the snotwinter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Both the mitts and gloves have a lovely absorbent snotwipe section. Probably should give it a rinse occasionally.0

Had a Giro pair which just fell apart after 3 months so I would not recommend them!
Currently using Nalini liquigas ones. They're fine to ride in but look like someone studied a diagram of how to make gloves and used their normal fabrics to do it with a bit of padding - rather then a product of a company that actually makes gloves. The British Empire never died, it just moved to the Velodrome0 -
I use giro gloves and find them superb!Burning Fat Not Rubber

+1 for the specialized gel mitts. Padding just right whatever your hand position on the bars.0

Castelli Rossa Corsa gloves, they fit beautifully and absorb lots of snot as well as having great gel pads.0

I have been using a pair of Canterbury mitts, slightly padded due to the sticky palm, stretchy fit, keeps my hands feeling good, wind proof and keeps them cool.
picked them up very cheap (sub fiver)- yet they are the best gloves I have used.FCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips

I have the Specialized body geometry gel gloves and mitts. They are very good.
Gore windstopper winter gloves.
I do look like an advert for Specialized though, my bike, tops, base layers, gloves, shoes, socks, winter top are all Specialized. I find their clothing good. Shoes are brilliant, the winter top amazing.
Have a pair of Endura winter long leg tights, Gore arm and leg warmers so I do mix some other makes. Tried some Gore bib shorts but wasn't keen on the fit.
The gel gloves are very good though.

+1 Spesh BG here too - Mitts and full fingered variety.
My Winter ones are Gore Windstopper though, you should see the amount of snot-wipe area on them-- perfectThe universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle. ...Stapp’s Ironical Paradox Law

I use Chiba mits, mainly because others that I've tried have had either too much or too little gel padding (too much bunches up under the palm), and they have cloth hooks between the fingers to make getting them off easier.0

I thought they had sold out of these, but at 3 for a tenner they are a bargain.

If you buy gel ones, make sure they fit and the gel is in the right place for your hand. I bought some Altura things which felt like I was riding with a small india rubber between my palm and the handle bar - not pleasant.0
