I have decided upon a summer project. I have a trek 1000 aluminium road bike that i use as a winter commuter. I have decided instead of investing in a new winter bike i am going to get this one resprayed. The frame and forks are in good nick with no dents and i like the fit. All the other components work well and the wheels are good.

I am thinking of going for the simple all black stealth look with maybe the Trek emblum in Red or mettalic purple... has anyone done this before and am i looking to get heavily stung in the pockets?

If anyone knows of anywhere in the North East UK even better :)

Cheers

There is a place in Ediuburgh, costs around 40 quid.

You could maybe try a local paint shop / car repair centre

Bob Jackson resprays are reasonably priced and excellent quality.

do it yourself. i used plastikote paints on my MTB. its £5 a can, just get the old paint off use a full tin of primer and a full tin of top coat and it will look perfect.

and trust me its a hell of a lot more satisfying than getting someone else to do it.

Im doing a frame next week while im off work i will take a few pics if you want?
