Hi All...
Am looking at a Trek 1000 C (compact frame). The frame size is 50cm and what I need to know is if this bike will be the right size. I'm 5' 10" with a 30" inside leg.
Thanks in advance
Damien

As I suspected...
Thanks guys0 -
I ride the same bike around the Southampton area and would say it would probably do fine, I'm 5'11" and there is still adjustment left. The compact frame means that the bar is lower but the geometry to ride it is fine.0

I'm 6ft1" and I ride a 50cm compact frame (it's a Giant though):
So I don't know whether "the compactness" is equivalent.0 -
I`m 6ft and have a 2006 Trek 1200 which is fundamentally the same frame.
Tried a Trek 1000 in 56 and it felt a bit small and found the 1200 in a 58.My ideal is proably between the 2,but I have longish legs and found the 58 with a shorter stem worked better for me than the 56.Having a talller headtube on the 58 saves my back!
50 is tiny, but might be OK if you are 5ft!2006 Giant XTC
2010 Giant Defy Advanced
2016 Boardman Pro 29er
2016 Pinnacle Lithium 4
2017 Canondale Supersix Evo0 -
I think the 'C' stands for compact so unless you have a 1200C then the sizing will be different.More problems but still living....0
