"ICELAND...Epic views and empty trails going cheap..."
Ok, whos got the crystal ball?
Empty trails? Yeah, right, with a fecking great volcano belching clouds of pumice, fire, dust!
Come on, which one of you dropped the dog end into the caldera as you left?
You know who you are...own up!

Been looking at Iceland as a possible trip (without bike) but the prices have been nothing short of insane. Everything from flights to car hire to foodFormally known as Coatbridgeguy0

I'm going minus a bike in october as part of a trip with my college, that's bloody expensive too :shock:0 -
I travelled to Iceland by car last week. When I got there my Sat-Nav said, "You have now reached your dusty nation".

Think my neice went there a few yrs ago with her husband.
( Left the kids, home, tight pair of twats...)
Anyway, I believe it was something stupid like 7 - 10 quid a pint or some such price.
Why? Thought the Icelandics were Scandinavians, so would have thought lager would have been one of their "staples", after seal blubber and pillage...0 -
Apparently a big mac out there is about £6 :shock:0

Went to Iceland last year and from what I can tell, there's always a volcano errupting so everyone is just used to it. It's the volcanoes that make the sceney so awesome.
There are a couple of budget airlines that fly to Iceland; check out flights from Denmark in particular.
I didn't think it was too expensive, but we were in the Faroe Islands first, so I guess it just seemed relatively cheaper; just about the only country I've been where I gave up trying convert back into sterling because I was too scared to do the maths!
Oh, and there are trees.0
