I have just fitted an M771 XT front Mech to my Giant.
It works fine but the cable routing looks weird as it comes out of the cable stop and then goes at an angle down to the side pull mech
Is it done correctly ??

I think it is a top pull low normal
Any comments welcome

Wasn't sue about the cable angle. Expected it to go vertically.

yup, is the same as mine, looks very odd but is how it is, the tail end of my cable runs down, under and up the black arm bitand is cable tied inplace on the end of the arm, (opposite to where it clamps) and there's just enough to poke the end into the slot on the clamp,Timmo.

Some frames have the cable stop inclined so the cable exits neatly from it, but what you have their is perfectly normal.
