Mounting Avid Juicy 3's

I've just inherited a 2001 Marin Alpine Trail which I am modernising. I'm trying to fit a 160mm Juicy 3 to the back and am having dramas. The rear swingarm has what looks like Int Standard mounting points but they are only 40mm across between bolt holes and the bolt holes on the caliper are about 50mm across. Also the caliper would not sit high enough to clear the disc even if the bolt sizing ws correct. Please help me resurrect this old american legend!!

have a look in the FAQs about adaotors for non dics frames.
unless it is the same as http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopi ... disc+mount

I have added a photo as requested. The original wheels have disc specific hubs as you can see I've already added the Juicy disc.0

so just as in the link provided. you will have to get something made."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Can i just suggest instead of "having something made" make a mount yourself?
all you need for a rough mount is a drill with the correct size drill bit, a piece of flat bar in the appropriate size and a hacksaw/grinder to cut the metal.
It's a bit of a bodge but nice and quick to do when making mounts for anything. The Frog: Lapierre Zesty 214 2010 - Upgraded - W.I.P0 -
