Waterproof and packable jacket needed - but what?

Looking for a new waterproof jacket. Want it to be packable preferably into its own pocket or at least a little bag that I can stuff in saddle bag or jersey pocket.

Have looked at the new Montane DT 2 which I liked the fit of but a little put off by comments that the last DT version was a sweat bag (Review on C+). Like the look of Castelli jackets but not sure on which model would fit my requirements.

Any ideas/recommendations?

I use the following and very happy with it keeps me nice and warm and dry when needed, very light and packs away in its own pocket.

I have a Montane Featherlite H20 jacket and it's superb. Definitely a less-is-more design! It packs super small, and breathability is excellent. It wouldn't be my choice for prolonged winter riding, but as a summer-shower jacket I can't fault it.

Used one of these for a while now, it is showerproof but anything more than a 5 minute spell of heavy rain and it gets through. Its ideal for days when it might put a little bit down but if you want to stay dry in anything more than a shower I would give it a miss. However you certainly dont boil in the bag

Does anyone know where to get the DHB for £26.59 from? It is £37.99 at Wiggle, and only available in XXL until August.

    Cheers.

Ian, did you find anywhere else that stocks this jacket in the end?

No, I didn't. I think DHB are exclusive to Wiggle, so if they don't have it your only hope is somewhere like Ebay.

But as reported in a thread here in the last week or two, apparently the Rapha's water resistance requires regular reproofing via liberal use of an iron:

Is that really the best you can get?
