pedals with loose bearings

Hi
I'm servicing some old Kona flat pedals with loose bearings, does anyone know the bearing size also how many per end.
When I reassemble do I snug the bearings and back the race nut off a quarter of a turn

The bearing size could be anything, you may have to measure one.
