Haribo Starmix or Supermix? Supermix has the jelly babies but Starmix has the fried eggs, mmm.

I've taken to making flapjack but shoving chocolate chip chunks and big fat raisins in and I have to say I have to hide them or there's none left for a ride0
-
I always take 2/3 snickers with me and a frijj shake.
Weighs the pack down a bit lol0 -

Why are MTB economics; spend twice as much as you intended, but only half as much as you wish you could afford? :roll:0 -
None of the above. Flap jack and malt loaf with butter on! Failing that I do enjoy some jelly beans0

+ Potato on the Snickers Bars.
I wouldn't haul a Frijj shake around though and rely on what I carry in my hydration bladder0 -

I have 2litres of Orange Juice as well in my bladder, however nothing replenishes you post ride like a chocolate Frijj shake. I dont mind the weight in the pack TBH... I always view it as training harder... LOL0 -

When I ride I take 4 mulebars and 2-4 smart go gels. I always like to have more food than I need.
Fluid - Generally water ,maybe with a PSP22 or Go electrolyte depending on ride duration/temperature

all that energy drink stuff is crap. although i am partial to a cliff bar, or similar.... and a "proper" energy drink is good, like monster. but "electrlyte" or whatever it is is an overpriced marketing gimmic... it might be good for a 24hour race.. or a xc sprinter trying to get that bit extra.. but not for us average joe's. and gels are the same.. good for a racer or an enduro-er.. but not much use for us IMHO.I like bikes and stuff0

When you have done a thirty mile ride and sweated like a demon and taken on 5 litres of fluid it is a good idea to replace your bodies salts as you go.
Water+ salts = electrolytes = working muscles . If you dont you will increase the chance of cramping.

monster, relentless or the like with exercise is just a bad idea all round. electrolytes keep your body working...Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0

6 each so far, it's a hung snackiament.
I like gels myself, but then I'm diabetic so I'm ahead of the game, it's physically impossible for me to insulin crash It's like the little nitro button in Chase HQ.Uncompromising extremist0 -

+1
I don't know how people can drink fizzy stuff when they're 'exercising'. If you need caffeine that much (which you don't!) then just have a coffee before you go out!0
