My Poshbikes stem cap weighs 5g, not the 4g as indicated on the phone during the transaction.

Still, things aren't all bad, the two Continental Supersonic inner tubes which should weight 100g are weighing in at 94g each. :D

Yes, I really should get a life...

God, have been purchasing stuff for the Cotic, in a way it's liberating NOT worrying about lightweight (read more expensive) parts, especially after all the faffing with the Marin.....

    Sicko lol.

I gave up on hte weight weenie thing.. stuff just brakes i try and get a balance now.. light weight tubes for instance are the worst thing ever.. about a gazzilion pinch punctures unless you run that higher pressures and drop the grip levels :s

I find 40psi works for me. Too high for pinch flats and still gives a good level of grip (using Panracer XC Fire Pro 2.1's)

Ah i live on 2.35" tyres or bigger for grip and comfort. But then I'm more than happy to steadily to plough to the top of the hills, and then have my fun.

I know some people rather have speed all the time :) Takes all sorts. But after riding a few years of street styles riding, got used to overly light bits snapping so got my terror on that these days..

So true. On my son's 'street' bike, his inner tubes weigh more than my tyres & tubes together...

Ah now not bike weight vs person weight. we all know it doesn't marry up at all hehe light bike by 1kg is easier to lug about than a person less 1/2 a stone in weight :s
