Look Keo Pedals - Surface Worn

Anyone else had this problem with their pedals?

The main surface (carbon) is wearing away, so I no longer get a tight fit even with new
cleats.

Is there anything I can do? They're the Carbon-Ti version (not cheap) and probably done
about 12000km - should I expect them to last longer?

Have you ever looked at the second hand pedals on Ebay? They look ....second hand.

epoxy resin to build up the surface warm it up to make it nice and runny to self level. blue tack to build a wall to hold it in.

Thinking of giving this a try, but now wondering if it's better to just get some Look Keo Max 2?
They're as low as £60 with cleats.

Would the Look Keo Ti pedals have any second hand value? They're over £200 new.
