I thought it was about time I took my bike outside after having itfor 2 weeks and thought I'd take some pics whilst I was at it. :)

In the 2 weeks since having it I've had the wheels trued and brakes bled (don't ask lol), I've put new pedals on (Nano Flats), new bars (FSA Gravity Light) and grips (Lizard Skins Charger Lock-On) and temporarily fitted my old speedo. I say temporarily as I'm considering a Garmin. Must..Resist!

Anyway here are the pics

I'm sure I'll make more changes over the coming months but finally ready for a blast round Cannock this weekend!

Do like the look of Focus hardtails.... Came very close to ordering a carbon Raven before going for the EX8. :)

I've liked the Focus range for a while and I very nearly bought the 2009 BF Pro at the back end of last year but I kept putting it off. Gutted when they sold out

I don't see many Focus bikes out and about. In fact I've only ever seen one and that was a road bike! I'm hoping it's because they only have 1 UK dealer and the fact I don't visit the trails as often as I'd like :D

In all fairness though in the last year reading about them I've never come across anything bad so hoping it's a sound purchase.

Must be time for an update after six mouths of *ownership/riding/abuse!

How is life with the Focus? Would you recommend them? They do look like a sorted bike.

It was an awesome bike but seeing as it is more an XC race machine I sold it in favour of a full suspension bike.

The focus was very quick and never let me down, my riding skills let me down so rather than destroy a thing of beauty I bought a bike capable of taking a bit more hammer.

Really good looking bike. What kind of price is this if you don't mind me asking?

I bought it when it was £1150 reduced from £1350. It can now be bought from Wiggle for £899 but they only have medium size left by the look of it.
  • Cheers for the quick update.

It does look quite, well er.. focused (if you'll pardon the pun) towards racing I suppose. :)

Yep, superb bike but wanted a full susser to cope with the type of riding I want to do. Although I haven't ridden much lately due to injury.

nice looking bike! though i think you need to look at the front brake. Fox recommend that the cable goes to the inside of the lower leg

But, since I no longer have it, its not an issue 8)
