why is my bike so heavy

From what he says though, he doesn't really have heavy components. At least nothing that should take his bike up to 35lbs. His question seemed to be why is it so heavy when this is the case... Seems reasonable to me.

He does have heavy components though, nothing in that list has been designed with any thought of weight saving.

it isn't 35lbs worth unless an anvil was hidden in the wheels.
