Turbo training for MTB?

I'm thinking of investing in a turbo trainer for the winter months as to keep my XC bike and myself in tip top condition. I'm pretty certain that it is perfectly fine to use a turbo trainer for mtb, but I have a question. I'm thinking of buying a tacx satori and was wondering whether it is worth getting a specific mtb trainer tire and also wondering where to get one from. Many thanks

I've just stuck a cheapo semislick on my old mtb. Cost bout £10.99
Makes a noise like a motorbike, but if no ones in the house, I just turn the TV up!
Good quality/light expensive slicks tend to wear easier, and cost a load.
I've had a few wear through the side walls after a few months.
I tend to put it on a mod/hard resistance and use the Big Ring/gears for resistance mainly: 10 - 20 mins easy Warm Up.
5 - 10 mins on 5th gear, 90 - 95 rpm.
5 mins recovery/spin.
5 - 10 min on 7th gear, 80 - 90 rpm
5 recovery/spin
5 -10 mins 9th gear, 75 - 80 rpm
10 -15 easy spin recovery.
20 mins stretching.
( If I'm feeling good, I'll do it twice before the stretching etc)0
