What to do with a new bike!

Hi all,

Have a new bike arrived fresh out the box. I've done the noddy stuff (checked skewers, brakes, indexing, headset, adjusted seat height). Seems to have a film of lube already on the drivetrain.

What have I forgotten? Do manufacturers usually lube cables etc.. before transport? Should I use some light oil to kick them off?

if everything is indexing fine, it doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with the cables.

Next thing to do is ride it...
