Which £800 hardtail

I am looking for a new hardtail for around £800 for mainly trail, cross country and a bit of road, am fairly new to mountain biking but after reading a few magazines i am temted to go for the orange G3 2010 as it has some decent reviews, any other suggestions?

Have a look at the Boardman Comp and Genesis Core series of bikes.0

I have heard mixed reviews about the boardman bikes but the spec looks good so does the genensis, hmmm but im still swaying to the orange, any opinions on the g3?0

Nice frame, but inferior to the Boardman in many places.
The Boardman Team just kills it.
Try them see what feels best.0
