Which saddle & seatpost for CX?

Hi - I've just came into a mint but 6 years old (last 4 garaged) Ridley crossbow.
I need a new saddle - previous owner lent his good one to a mate!
I'd like white post & saddle to match frame.
On my road bike I've used a Fizik Pave HP saddle & got on well with it.
I'm mainly going to ride some of the local trails & footpaths and forestry comm roads, although actually a lot of the smaller roads up in the hills are pretty rough & potholed too.
I've seen the ritchey WCS 'wet white' stuff and the marathon XC saddle and that looks purty.
Any opinions - or reccomendations?

You want something with a bit of padding or 'give' for those re-mounts and no sharp edges to catch onto lycra, but saddle choice is highly personal. In terms of a seatpost, I'd go for something with a proper cradle, not a 2-screw pillar job which are not very robust IME as the screws can fail.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Cheers Monty - I'm not sure which type of kit to get road or MTB XC, the Ritchey WCS stuff I've looked at is an odd fixing, not like a trad cradle type.‘There is No Try. There is only Do. Or do not.’0
