Hi ive just noticed that ive got a rather nice deep grove on my formula oro k18 front rotor which squeals every time i brake. Ive looked on the internet to see how much the rotor is replace and i can only find one for about £35. However there are many shimano ones out there for around £20.

My rotor is 180mm, so could i just replace with 180 mm shimano XT for example? However i dont think its the 180mm which is the problem, i think its the profile size of the disc is ie how much of the rotor is touching the pad so therefore how do i know the size of this.
Thanks

    should be fine.

just double check the size and get the same.

might as well get one of the superstar rotors, unless anyone has any horror stories with them? I've started assuming their kit will be good unless I hear otherwise now.
