Celtic Trail: Caerphilly to Haverfordwest

I gather that NCN4 runs from London to Fishguard, but passes almost past my front door, and p[asses through Heverfordwest, which is where i want to ride to next week.
I have made a route on bikeroutetoaster, but its into the beacons and has about 5500 ft climbing over 105 miles. It's do-able, but given I'm going to be returning the same way the next day is goping to be tough for me given my lack of miles. I'd muich rather do it following a NCN, but want to set up a garmin route. I'd buy the maps from sustrans but they are not as convenient nor as cheap as a garmin route.
Has anyone ridden the route, what is it like? I guess a search online for garmin routes for NCN4 is probably a good place to start...
