I think this has snapped off is this normal?

    thanks thats a massive help, i suppose i need to match it up with the model of the derailleur.
    its a shimano deore xt sis 8 i think, any idea what lower jockey wheel i need, ceramic is etched on the orig.

    done a search and a few come up, but dont look right.

    Try wiggle, evans cycles, merlin cycles, fleabay etc

    You just need to get the tooth number right then you can get pretty much any. KCNC for bling, or just standard Shimano which is simple but works fine. IIRC CRC do them all.

    If you want to be sure, just take it to an LBS and they'll be able to get the right part for you. Some may even have one lying around.
