I've just got back from a quick 20 mile spin round the block. Had on, bib shorts with a thin tight over the top, full sleeve base layer top, ss summer jersey and ls mid weight top. Absolutely perfect temp wise. Saw a guy in shorts and ss summer jersey. I am either not hard enough for this malarkey or theres some very localised weather.
It was exactly the same on Friday evening too.

Yes, a bit of a reality check today. I forego the morning sunshine in order to watch the F1 live, but after two days of bib-shorts, mitts and short-sleeved jerseys it was back to knee and arm warmers when I eventually got out about noon. :(

The forecast is gash for the first half of the week too.
  • I hope you hardy northerners get a go on our weather. It's very continental-style at the moment. Chilly in the morning (2 degrees) but warming up throughout the day (19 degrees by late afternoon), not a cloud in the sky and just the lightest of breezes. The wide range in daily temperatures means you can find your optimal time for cycling.

First race of the season, shorts, short-sleeve top without undervest - dispensed with the warmers at the start - 20 degrees, glorious sunshine here in Hampshire! Lived in Glasgow until I left Uni, so my sympathies - can recall many a long wet ride on those roads.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Couldnt go out yesterday evening so left work at 4 and was out on the bike at 5. Lovely and sunny. Really wish I had taken my spring jacket rather than trying to MTFU

What is with all this bad weather up north? Amazing down here, no rain for like 2 weeks!

Sunny here but still wearing the full winter gear for the mornings (-2 with wind chill)
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

A drought is normally declared in Manchester if it doesn't rain for 48 hours.
