SRAM powerlinks , will they work on KMC chains ?
Cos they're half the price of KMC's own repair links :D
Muchos thanks.

    I think that SRAM ones should only be used once whereas KMC ones are reusable. Makes the price difference seem irrelevant.

    PowerLINKS are reusable. PowerLOCK is not.

    ............they might be re-useable but they are damn hard to get apart...or is it me?

    The last two I tried to remove I ended using a chain link exctractor instead as I just could not get them apart.

    Any tips?

    Its gets easier lol.

    The one I just installed was hard enough to get it to engage properly! had to give it a proper yank!

    ...right.....I get it now, thanks for the Youtube clip......I wasn`t doing the "squeeze it together" bit!!

    Many thanks for pointing out the video clip...(o;
  • is it worth me putting one into my chain? i just bought a new chain and took the powerlink out cause i figured it would be a weaker link than just the normal bolted thru links. is there any real advantage to having one in? cheers guys :)

    I'd trust a powerlink more than a rejoined 'standard' link. Rejoined links have failed on me before, powerlinks never have.
