Increasing fork travel from 100 - 120mm

If you dont already know I own a Cuce AMS 100. I bought this because I planned on doing a combination of trail riding and commuting. However the reality is that I am using it almost exclusively for trail riding, generally black runs and rarely bother with the commute. With this in mind I was considering upgrading the forks to 120mm travel, I cant do anything about the rear shock (AFAIK) but I know that the frame will be tuned to 100mm travel. I am considering replacing my forks anyway due to recent reliability issues, but if I upgrade to a fox 120mm from my Rebas that are 100mm, will this have a negative impact on my bikes performance?
Apologies if this has been asked + answered before

travel is not the issue ( or all of it) the axle to crown height is the thing.
If you had your Rebas serviced and had the travel extended to 120mm at the same same time (if the all travel version) then your head angle would slacken of by just under 1 degree."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Doesn't one of the AMS 100 models come with a 90-120 U-turn Reba? Sure I saw one somewhere. I'd guess it's technically ok, but what nick said should be taken into account.0
