Cycling Hadrian's Wall cycleway in a few weeks I think I need to change my MTB tyres to commute / hybrid type, ideas at the moment are:

Continental Travel Contact 1.75

Continental Sport Contact1.6

Schwalbe Marathon 1.75

Any help appreciated

Thanks

  • I use the Continental Travel Contact 1.75s and they are great. Only ever had 1 puncture due to going over a nail in 1200 miles and they are good enough in dry mud and not that bad when its wet.

Awesome on the roads and hard ground, would defiantly recommend.
  • I just got some Travel Contacts about a week ago. They've got to be tough judging by the thickness and they're certainly fast on the road. Slightly disconcerting cornering on wet grass / mud, but aside from that they seem to get pretty good grip when you need it. And I'm thinking a change in tyre pressures might help alot if you're going to spend a full day in the mud...
  • Think i'll give the Travel contacts a punt.

    Thanks Guys.
