SD Cleats

I've just bought some MTB SPDs for the first time (having always used toe clips). Can anyone suggest whether it is best to get multi-release cleats or single side relase? I've spoken to two bike shops and they had opposite views.
I won't be racing but don't want to pull out of them constantly...
Cheers in advance.

Single. Easy to get out of, but you wont find that you will accidentally release from them.0

What ones come with the pedals? I've just bought two sets of M520 SPD's for both of my bikes but not used them yet0

Single release come with the pedals. I've bene using them for over a year and (I can't believe I'm about to type this) haven't had an SPD moment yet with them.0

and you have just tempted fate as well.
PS set the tension slack as well."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

i've used both and the only time i'd choose multi is as a touring sort of pedal, relaxed pace pootling around with panniers on the bike etc but for other types of riding then single is more suited.0

Thanks for the advice guys, sounds like single might be the best option...0

What is the actual difference, is it just that you can unclip by turning heel in and out or are there other benfits, don't get my SPD shoes till wednesday so I haven't had a chance to figure it out0
