well this weekends ride is proving to expensive after blowing out some seals in my rear shock, i thought i'd give the bike a through service and noticed i need a whole complete set of chainrings for my hollowtech 11 xt770.
i have been told just to replace them with deore standard than xt770 chainrings as they are cheaper
would some enlighten me to the difference?
its mostly the middle ring that has been chewed up so my thinking was replace that with xt the rest deore
any ideas?
cheers chris

The Deore middle and inner is steel, so durable, but heavier.0

The weight difference is bugger all though tbh, only about 20g if I recall correctly. I've got a deore steel middle ring on my xtr crank 8)Uncompromising extremist0
